Bobby Jones Links Adds Big Canoe to Its Growing Portfolio

Atlanta, Ga - Bobby Jones Links continues to grow its portfolio with the addition of Big Canoe, a large master-planned community located one hour north of Atlanta. Big Canoe is the third property to add Bobby Jones Links as its management company in 2020. Historic Hope Valley Country Club in Durham, NC and the Champions Club near Chattanooga, Tennessee are the other two.

Big Canoe is a private gated enclave consisting of more than 8,000 acres and approximately 3,000 residents. The vibrant community has breathtaking views of the North Georgia mountains and features 27 holes of golf featuring three nine-hole layouts, a racquet club with both indoor and outdoor tennis courts and racquetball courts, a free form pool, sandy beach on Lake Disharoon, 13,000 square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, 125 slip marina, 20 miles of established hiking trails and multiple dining options. In addition to overseeing the operation of the multitude of amenities, Bobby Jones Links will also be managing the public works and safety which includes 89 miles of roadways and six fire stations located inside the gates.

Gautam Patankar, a Bobby Jones Links partner has been serving as interim General Manager for the past few months while a new POA GM is recruited. "We welcomed over 150 new associates to our company," said Patankar. "This included a full-time fire department with 17 firefighters. Now that is a first for Bobby Jones Links, but one we are proud to add to our expanding capabilities."
