Cherokee Valley Course and Club, Upstate South Carolina's premier family club and mountain golf destination north of Greenville, has released its 2020 membership plans and golf packages.
Membership at Cherokee Valley, a member-focused facility open to outside play, requires no initiation fee, food and beverage minimums or assessments. Six value-packed plans are designed for today's modern lifestyle, each requiring only a one-year agreement.
One of the best club values in the state, Platinum Membership ($200 month family, $165 single) includes full access to golf, the resort pool, golf training facility and spacious practice range. It also features use of neighboring North Greenville University's (NGU co-op) fitness center and reduced rates for select sporting and special events.
Gold Membership ($175, $145) offers seven-day-a-week access to Cherokee Valley's P.B. Dye-designed course, while Silver Membership ($125 / $100) entitles families or singles to unlimited golf on Saturdays and Sundays. Ideal for busy professionals, the Young Executive Membership ($135) offers full weekday and weekend access.
The Sport Adventure Membership ($1,200 / year family, $1,044 single) grants unlimited use of the training facility (with fitness equipment) and practice range, and includes two rounds of golf monthly, player development classes, the NGU co-op and pool.
Customized Corporate Memberships are also available for area businesses looking for a convenient escape from the daily grind, as are supplemental annual cart and practice range plans.
"To grow the game, we have to mold memberships around the realities of today's busy lifestyles," says Cherokee Valley owner and director of operations Matt Jennings. "Whether it's families, singles or businesses-golfers or non-golfers-they need freedom, flexibility and value. Our membership plans are engineered to deliver these elements."
For traveling golfers, or local groups in search of a golf staycation, Cherokee Valley's collection of on-site cottages feature four master suites with one or two beds in each, five full bathrooms, great room and wrap-around porches.
They are conveniently located just a few steps from the golf shop and first tee. Full cottage rentals start at $400 and single rooms at $130, per night (tax not included). Golf can be added for $30 or $50 all-day subject to availability.
Ideally located 30 minutes north of award-winning downtown Greenville and 45 minutes from the craft beer capital of Asheville, N.C. Cherokee Valley is the perfect basecamp for exploring the beauty and adventure of the western Carolinas.
In 2020, Cherokee Valley will open its full-service restaurant, CORE 450, featuring a contemporary, engaging and casual theme with a diverse menu ranging from small plates and pizza to five course meals. CORE 450 is led by executive chef Todd Warden, who studied under James Beard award-winning chef Bob Kinkead.
"Without question, the year ahead is going to be the most exciting of our ownership tenure," says Jennings, who along with his uncle acquired Cherokee Valley in 2017. "Our vision for Cherokee Valley to be a club unlike any other in the region is coming to fruition and we can't wait to serve our guests, members and community."
